Why VUMBI?

The name VUMBI comes from the Swahili word uvumbi, the dust of the earth.

Dust carries memory.

It follows every journey, settles on every path and connects people to the places they call home.

Like the dust beneath our feet, stories travel across generations, carrying culture, wisdom and imagination from one reader to the next.

VUMBI exists to honour those journeys through books that are thoughtful, beautifully designed and deeply rooted in place.
